What does a window ajar offer? Breeze, fresh air, new sounds, the scent of place, the breath of  place. All an invitation to head out, to leave the confines of the built behind, a fresh experience.

I imagine the liminal space created by a window ajar and the window frame. A form, two sides, one bounded by the pane of the window the other by the frame of the window. The inner side described by the architecture of place, the outer side unbounded, endless, and unexplored. Each exploration into this side, this space, unknown and new.

These works are invitations imprinted with place and experience. The invitation still present.

“Reflect – an open invitation”, is an interpretation of an invitation accepted, of time and place and of experience as essential and habitual.
